Malachi remembers the future. Life as he knows it extends from the present – the day when he meets his wife-to-be, Freia – until the onset of dementia half a century later. Yet Malachi has no recollection of the past. His condition has been dubiously diagnosed as global amnesia (total memory loss combined with an inability to create new memories) but no-one can account for his apparent knowledge of the future.
Twenty-year-old Malachi recalls how the challenges of life sooner or later will compel him on three occasions to exploit his knowledge to his advantage or for the advantage of any individual just about him, only for every try to compound the calamitous consequences for everyone involved.
‘Benjamin Button meets the Time Traveler’s Wife … a bizarre story that may be truly well executed and indisputably for those wanting to read something a little bit different.’ (LoveReading)
